Amazing of Paper
Posted by craft on
January 15, 2009
Wrapping present during holidays is really fun. I loved learning how to perfectly measure and fold the paper, conceal the tape so that paper looked nearly seamless, cut fancy tips on the ribbon, and make ordinary items into bright, mysterious parcels that glittered with enhancement.
Of all the materials we use to craft (which is just about anything, really), paper seems the most magical to me. Paper dolls and cardboard forts were ingredients for many of my childhood make believe worlds. There is durable white paper pants and airbrushed paper hoodie in the 80s seemed surreal (paper clothes that didn’t rip). Even now a blank piece of paper, with its limitless possibilities, inspires in me a strong eagerness to create. Read the rest of this entry »
Unique News Paper

December 18, 2008
The news paper is a great source of Christmas wrapping paper and it doesn’t have to be the comic section. Although the comic section is great for wrapping children’s gifts in you can wrap the adults and teens gifts in sections of the newspaper that interest them.
The football star in the family can have the sports section while those that have an interest in business can have their gifts wrapped in the business section. As the holidays get nearer you will find more ads featuring Christmas trees to use in the wrapping of those Christmas presents.
Elegant Brown Paper Bags

December 18, 2008
Brown paper bags that you get for kids lunches can be used to wrap Christmas gifts (smaller ones of course) all you need is some tape to seal the bag and some markers to draw on the bag. When you use the paper bags there is no need for a gift tag since you can make part of the bag design a tag to put the person’s name you are giving the gift to and save some paper in the process.
Even junk mail can be used to wrap gifts. All those letters in the junk mail can be taped together on a present to wrap it. When you look in the closet you’ll find items that you don’t use anymore and can’t find the outfit they even go with anymore. Unused ribbons for hair can be tied into bows around the presents.
