Last Step Decorating Thanksgiving Ideas

After done with all of the Thanksgiving pilgrim decorating steps, now you can finish by attaching the other end of the felt over the top of the poster board. The poster board insures the hat will stand up straight. Use the glue gun to join the ends of the rectangle to make a circle that is about 1 -2 inches smaller in diameter than the circle of felt you attached to the pumpkin.
Take the glue gun and carefully attach the circle you have made to the round piece of felt on top of the pumpkin. After the glue has dried, cut a circle out to fit on top of the hat and attach with the glue gun. This circle needs to be the same size in diameter as the body of the hat you created with the rectangle.
When the hot glue has dried the final step in your creation of a pilgrim is to draw a buckle with the metallic gold paint on the front lower portion of the hat just above the brim.
These make such cute centerpieces for the Thanksgiving dinner table. You can also make miniature pilgrims by using the decorative gourds sold in the grocery stores in October and November.
You can use the miniatures for place markers by writing the person’s name with the gold metallic acrylic paint on the back of the hat. Everyone will think they are cute but the small children in the family will be fascinated with them. Now after following all of fun family activity project, since prepare the materials until the finishing steps, you’ve got your pilgrim table ready to decorate your Thanksgiving day.
